Use Phone's Speaker as an alternative for Laptop/PC's speaker 🤫

If you have a computer and its speaker isn't working properly or the speaker is too faint to be heard then hold your breath because I am gonna show you a trick that will change your life and will make it trouble-free because in this post I will show you how to use your phone's speaker as a speaker of your computer or laptop This can be done in two ways.

  1. Wired
  2. Wireless (Covered in next post)

I will guide you step by step throughout this post. So, let's get started :

Transfer sound from PC to phone

Method One - Wired

The main benefit of the wired technique over the wireless is latency. You'll experience almost negligible audio lag while transferring audio in real-time.

In the wired technique, all you need is a USB cable of type B or C depending on your smartphone and of course your smartphone which will be used as a speaker. After gathering these items you are good to go ahead.

Step 1: Download the audio relay app from playstore or click here.

AudioRelay playstore page

Step 2: Get the desktop client of AudioRelay from here or you can visit AudioRelay's official site and manually click the download button. After downloading, install the program in the same manner as you do for all other applications.

Click Next twice

Click Install

Click Finish

Step 3: Open the client app i.e the desktop application, keep it open and come to the phone's application.

Step 4: Connect phone and PC via USB cable and enable USB tethering (Settings >> Other Wireless Connections >> Toggle USB tethering to on.)

Step 5: Now come to the mobile app and hit the search button.

Step 6:  In a moment you'll see your computer's name followed by an IP address in the Servers section. Click on that, now your phone is connected to your PC, and all the sound that your PC creates as the output will also be heard in your phone's speaker.

You can see the latency graph and mute your PC from your phone if you don't want the echo of sounds.

Method Two - Wireless

Connecting via wireless technique is yet another cool idea and hence it is covered in another blog post. Click here to view that post.
